PERPETUO

Descripción

An intangible concept with a timeless (perpetuo) proposal. Flowing is something essential in my life, these pieces depict this part of me, leaving behind my essence part of me in a timeless piece. The Grasshopper definitions allowed me to create this motion in the pieces through different parameters. With different parameter you can create completely different pieces without losing its essence of flowing.

Descripción

Design of a collection of 3 pieces of silver jewelry. The collection is a selection of 3 iterations obtained from a definition programmed in Grasshopper, using computerized design. The selection of the iterations must take into account the parameters for their manufacture by means of wax printing and casting in lost wax, as well as their detailed and final finish. Production management was a hybrid between digital manufacturing with industry suppliers and the application of manual techniques at student workstations

Pop!

Descripción

This collection of three pieces is inspired by the simplicity of a single bubble and the crumble and perfect chaos of the agglomeration of many bubbles. These rings were design to change their parameters and create three different pieces starting from the same Grasshopper definition. The rings have three different sizes to have a harmonic game of diameters and positions between fingers. Pop culture also played an importante part in the design of this collection.

DUNE

Descripción

From base ideas to a series of parametrically designed pieces, Grasshopper allows you to go beyond a simple shape.A collection composed with 3 pieces, inspired by the random surfaces that the air projects on the coastal dunes, the elements flow over the surfaces creating reliefs and contrasts between the body and the path on them. A pair of earrings, a disconnected ring and a dome ring unify this collection using different patterns extracted from an organic surface.

Descripción

The representation of versatility of things, the possibility of change.
A collection of three rings created from the parameters that were explored in Grasshopper. Using spheres from points morphed on a
surface, this is a design that combines technology and some traditional jewelry processes. Same definition, different pieces.

ORPHIC

Descripción

The essence behind this project is having the possibility to create many interchangeable templates, being able to mix them in different way to make earrings. The Grasshopper definitions allowed me to create different designs with the same typology, with this I can create different pieces so that I can overlap them and create different iterations, allowing the user to interact with them and create their own combinations. The final materials will be silver and yellow resin to give it a bit of color, making the earing a bit more striking.

Through Pink

Descripción

This jewelry piece is inspired by the minimalistic shape of the circle that, combined with the possibilities that Grasshopper provides,
creates a shape that flows and integrates the materials that were thought about for this charm since the beginning. For this design, it was very important to maintain the resin as one of the main materials, primarily
to add a touch of color and to emphasize the contrast with silver. Also, as it was essential to have the least interventions and other materials (aside form the silver and resin) as possible. To better represent the concept, I decided to use the resin as a cold connection as well, this way the main pieces are the only ones in the design making it look clean.

CAGED

Descripción

An abstraction of my own perspective. This idea lies behind the concept of us humans living dependency. Metaphorically, living in a cage. Designed to be an object with many possibilities thanks to the parameters in a Grasshopper definition. The structure depends mainly on the Graph Mapper input and the variations that could be explored with pipes.

RAW

Descripción

Raw components, the visualization of the materials that could become a traditional jewel. Convergence between state-of-the-art technologies and classic jewelry techniques. An organic silver surface made with grasshopper, attached to a base that holds a piece of raw stone with cold connections. In this definition you can control the dimensions of the surface and its irregularity by using numeric sliders. In the base the dimensions can also be controlled, as well as the
width and length of the prongs, and prongs can be added to give a
different look.
